General Terms and Conditions for E-commerce at SaltstoneSolutions.com

These terms and conditions apply when you place an order through our website saltstonesolutions.com. We serve both private individuals (consumers) and companies. For consumer purchases, Swedish consumer legislation applies. For business customers, specific terms apply as outlined below.

By placing an order, you accept these terms and conditions.

1. Prices and Payment

All prices are listed in Euro (EUR).

  • For consumers: prices include VAT.
  • For business customers (B2B): Prices are shown including VAT, with the VAT amount and price excluding VAT specified where applicable.

Payments are handled via our payment partners, such as Klarna, Stripe, or Swish. Business customers may request invoicing subject to credit approval.

2. Terms for New Business Customers

For new business customers, the following terms apply:

  • 50% prepayment upon order confirmation
  • 50% invoiced upon delivery
  • Delivery will not take place until the initial payment is received

These conditions apply regardless of whether the order is placed via the webshop, email, or based on a quotation.

3. Order and Order Confirmation

Once your order is placed, a confirmation is sent to the email address you provided. The agreement becomes binding when we have confirmed your order.

We reserve the right to reject orders in cases such as stock issues, pricing errors, or technical problems.

4. Delivery

Normal delivery time within Sweden is 2–5 business days unless otherwise stated. Deliveries are made via PostNord, DHL, or another carrier. Shipping costs are specified at checkout prior to purchase.

We are not responsible for delivery delays caused by circumstances beyond our control (force majeure).

5. Right of Withdrawal (Consumers Only)

As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, in accordance with the Swedish Distance Selling Act.

To exercise your right of withdrawal:

  • Notify us by email within 14 days
  • Return the product in its original condition and packaging
  • You are responsible for return shipping costs

If the return is approved, the product price and original shipping (to you) will be refunded within 14 days.

Exceptions: The right of withdrawal does not apply to custom-made products, sealed goods that have been opened, or services that have begun with your consent.

6. Complaints and Warranty

If a product is damaged or defective upon arrival, you have the right to complain:

  • Consumers: within a reasonable time, up to 3 years under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act
  • Business customers: within 7 days of receiving the goods

If the complaint is approved, we will cover return shipping and offer repair, replacement, or refund.

7. Terms for Business Customers (B2B)

In addition to the general terms above, the following apply to business customers:

  • No right of withdrawal under the Distance Selling Act
  • Payment terms: 50% prepayment for new customers. Existing customers are invoiced with 20 days net unless otherwise agreed. Interest and late fees apply to overdue payments in accordance with the Swedish Interest Act
  • Delivery responsibility: Risk transfers to the buyer when the goods are handed over to the carrier
  • Limitation of liability: Saltstone Solutions is not liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the value of the product in question

9. Dispute Resolution

  • Consumers: In case of disputes, we follow the recommendations of the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN). You may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
  • Business customers: Any dispute shall primarily be resolved through negotiation. If unresolved, it shall be settled in a Swedish court under Swedish law. The first instance shall be the District Court of Gothenburg.
